Michael's In The Microwave

I put some Michael's hutches in the microwave this morning to take them apart. I'm planning to add built-in storage to this wall.

It's time to get out the graph paper and ruler and get busy! This is just an idea.

Hope you have a lovely day!

I took mine apart but haven't decided what to do with them.....I was thinking cupboards for my kitchen. I think you have a great idea. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Its raining here in my neck of the woods, so I may just try to get them done.

I have taken Michael's hutches apart, but never tried the microwave....How long do you put them in and do you just pry them apart at the seams after you do it, Kathi? Help!!!

The microwave wasn't my original idea. It does work. Just put the hutch in for about 10 seconds on high power. Then grab it out while it is still warm to pry it apart. Watch it carefully! Sometimes I have to put it in for another few seconds. I haven't burned one yet but you really need to stand there and watch it carefully!

I love Michael's hutches! My dollhouse (which hubby is bringing down from the attic soon so I can resume work on it) kitchen's cabinets are from Michael's hutches and wonderful.

There's no doubt about it, the microwave is the way to go. I used to spend forever trying to get them apart before I discovered this magic :) Looking forward to seeing what you do with them.
